New media or old media?

To prepare my final course assignments, I have applied for a week leave from work. Yesterday, I spent almost 12 hours with my laptop computer at prograd student self-study carrel for construcing a online shopping plus online promotion system. Luckly, I completed 4 webpages. Today, I start to work on my research paper about new media development in Hong Kong. I have chosen a very common topic on internet shopping in Hong Kong. I chose this topic because it is common and will be easy to find research material in quick time. As my prediction, I got plenty materials but need to read them all before working on my assignment. I hope I can complete my first draft on Sat and then submit on time.

By the way, today, I have a question in mind. To compare new media and old media tool, which one is more convenience to use? Although new media is such attractive tool in communication, it is not user-friendly at all. Some people say digital divide is not a problem at all coz people who are without new media knowledge will be dead eventally. (I think it is pointing the aged people.) But, is it the truth? Is it people know how to use email, assess internet or play online game, that mean they have not the problem on digital divide? Online shopping is such a convenient way for people to purchase without time constraints. However, will it cause other problem like addictive in shopping online?

Maybe I have read too many reading today! Let's me refresh a while first. :)
